Oakland, Berkeley, And East Bay News, Events, Restaurants, Music, & Arts
Is the mom still dispatching ? I would imagine that would be very awkward for her to interact with officers as her daughter is in the midst of a LOT of deep pudding down at 7th and Broadway.
Actually to the south and east of El Cerrito or North of Berkeley along Arlington and Grizzly Peak Blvds to use more familiar "benchmarks". As often and as long as I've driven ( a VERY conspicuous 25 mph) along Arlington, I only know of the hardware store, church and gas stations as reasons to stop. My toddler on and I will very soon take the trip-- maybe on the way back from a late trip to Tilden Little Farm to partake in the very good deal prix fixe meal ! Thanks for the review !
There are no less than three AC transit buses running staggered 30 minute intervals between Hayward and South Hayward along Winton , Amador and Santa Clara- 4 if you count Jackson ( a little of a walk is involved ). The Hayward center is also right next to 880. Is it different ? Sure. Is it a LITTLE more of a hassle for those coming from north county ? Sure. Is it inaccessible or an insurmountable burden ? Hardly.
I agree with Mr. Ovalbach, I being a little moderate than the typical Express reader didn't always agree with what you wrote (or sometimes the tone). However, the stories WERE stories that NEEDED to be told whatever the point of view. Seven Days especially has become a MUST read as a digest of happenings. Thanks and onward and upward !
Love this album. Thanks for reviewing. Been in my steady rotation since this article.
Yes. Familiar with the area formerly known as Brooklyn. BUT... NO and I MEAN NO self respecting Oaklander (before 1999 I suppose) would EVER compare thee to another burg. F' Ess Eff, F' Brooklyn, F' El Eh ( ask the Crips and Bloods). Oakland has always done her own thing.
... like Brooklyn my arse. :)
TOO much business ?!? That's been a commercial block for decades. Vida's fish was on the corner for many years attracting people from all over Oakland. Wow. Heck the building across the street used to be a large Safeway store. TOO much business ?!??
