Re: “Sex by Numbers

I love the issue and have something to add as it’s my work field.
First: why one has to bother with what others think about what they do or not in their private lives? We have to keep in mind that there’s no choice between following the rules of society or our own consciousness. If we chose to follow the society we have to know that the values this society professes are the conditionings that keep us away from our true nature and therefore we cannot ever recognize the freedom that we are and it doesn’t depend on anything outside of us.
Second: we, as human beings, are not commodities that are supposed to sign any contract to establish how the relationship should be. This, again, is just a conditioning. A human being can’t own another human being, right? I think everybody would agree with this affirmation but, the point is: would they LIVE IT?
The only “thing” we truly “have” is ourselves and the only way to be fulfilled, in peace and with no doubt if we’re doing or not the right thing, is to be true to this nature. For that, one has to be courageous enough to think by oneself and don’t give a shit to what others will think about.
How come we go on insisting that this biological attraction we feel for “a special someone”
I think it’s time to change this belief system that mistakes biological attraction with love. Real love is always unconditional; it doesn’t belong to anyone as it’s the very nature of life. Biological attraction is great and it has to be lived freely without any concern to anyone else than the ones that are involved in this energy field of attraction. Period.
Where the people get astray is because they don’t know how to accommodate in both situations: society and consciousness. That’s what I meant in the beginning. It’s just not possible. One has to choose which side of the coin one wants to face up. It’s not possible to hide 2 different horses at the same time. rasiko@renatorasiko.com
