Went to El Gusano. Wasn't blown away by the fish tacos (Taco Guys is always what I measure against), but the pambazo with chorizo and potatoes was out of this world, and the staff if so so friendly. Well-stocked salsa bar as well. Went last Friday for lunch, so definitely open.
Intro to Curling was a blast when I tried. Make sure to wear gloves. My hands were frozen, even during post-class beers at The Trappist.
Oh man, that American Horror Story opening music. For the risk of sounding like an old person...SO LOUD. I hit play on On Demand, turn up the TV because I can't hear the first few lines, look away to do something, and then I literally jump when it goes "URGGHHFKJDHSHKJ" and frantically pound the volume down button on my remote. That being said, Quinto playing powerless Sylar again is pretty sweet.
I'm happy I graduated in simpler times, when my degree really meant something because it sported the old logo and was signed by Schwarzenegger.
although outside of EBX's coverage area, the SF Nature Friend's Tourist Club is awesome. You have to walk at least a quarter of a mile to get to it, but you'll feel especially accomplished if you opt for the 40 minute hike, which involves climbing the never-ending Dipsea Steps in Mill Valley and hiking along a cliffside path which made me feel like I was in Lord of the Rings.
UCSB noooooooooo.
Kids be slippin
On the note of bathroom soliloquies, Lucky 13 in Alameda has some of the most inspiring and practical bathroom graffiti, and an icy piss trough for the dudes. I love that place.
