lisakdefevers- I think you need to go back and read your sacred texts again. The ancient Hebrews practiced human/child sacrifice, as did many of the religions of the time. It took most cultures quite a while to decide on the nature and scope of thier god/gods, sometimes borrowing aspects from others or inventing new ones. Sadly, sacrifice seems to be have been nearly a global phenomenon. I guess that the priests in those times figured if they could convince someone to kill a child for thier god then giving all of thier money/shells/shiney pebbles to the priests wouldn't be very hard.

I don't really care if you believe what I just told you about Judeo-Christian history. It is a fact. The point is, your spiritual predecessors killed thier children to glorify thier god Yaweh, Al Shaddai, Jehovah, etc...

So please dear, do not cast stones, I believe one of your holy men spoke about that.
