Re: “Contra Costa District Attorney's Race Is Ugly

What will the newly elected D.A. have to say about this?..
The present Contra Costa County D.A.'s office not prosecuting this particular felony (and arrest)-- a stabbing committed by the known, troubled son of the former mayor of Pleasant Hill/retired Contra Costa County sheriff's deputy. This kid had been arrested (then released) for a vicious attack--attempted carjacking, attempted robbery, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon (knife) doing great bodily injury. He'd been positively identified by the hospitalized victim and had blood on his clothing. FREED WITH NO CHARGES FILED--less than 5 months later he stabbed again. The Pleasant Hill Police Department arrested an innocent young man for this crime. With a substantiated alibi--(a sworn peace officer and his wife)--this model citizen was incarcerated at the CCC jail---$30,000.00 bail, and that was only the beginning.
