Re: “OakPAC Chair Weighs Whether to Spend More for Pat Kernighan

I think this just adds more evidence that Aimee Allison isn't all she pretends to be. I'm glad her Rove-like tactics are being called into question. This is a city council seat, not the governors race, right? I wish the local leaders of the ACLU would have put the money they just gave toward the fight for people like me to get married, not this. Speaking of that - wasn't the complaint against Danny Wong that he was getting too much money from SF? Now whose "owned" by SF.

Re: “Wealthy Lefties Open Wallets for Green Party candidate Aimee Allison

When you have no public record, you can say something different to different people. A woman in our neighbor (District 2) told me she was voting for Aimee because Aimee is against community policing, hum. On the "not from around here front" - we just received a pro-Allison phone call with a 916 (Sacramento) area code, clearly not Oakland. As a union member I was upset that she recruited union support, yet hired no union contractors to remodel her house. We found it easy to find a union electrian to work on our house (across the street from her), why can't she do the same? As a Green Party member and biologist, I wanted to support Aimee Allison as I think a lot of people do, but I think she's using us and the more I find out, the more disappointing it is.

Re: “Election 2006: Green Party Candidate Selling Her-Gasp-SUV!

As a Green Party member, Biologist and neighbor of Aimee Allison, if you really wanted to sell your car, you could have done it pre-election. If you really want to "go-green" you could have done that to. Just like she could be printing her flyers on recycled paper with soy-based ink. Pat isn't running as a green party member, but is more green in policy and has provided real results for open space. Accountability should be important before someone points it out to you. That's why Pat has my support.
