They should rehire Aimee Allison.
WOW. You're SPOT ON here and have hit this one out of the park, delivering an ATOMIC ELBOW to an INSIPID and ARROGANT careerist. Well argued and well supported. This piece evidences long term thinking. Sadly too many politicians in Oakland FAIL at that. I wish I felt at liberty to add more, but you made your case and well.
Well, I stand corrected Robert. I should clearly have looked over your piece more closely!
Robert, respectfully, I think you have jumped the gun. From the SF Weekly: "Our paper has not been sold," Redmond says. "We are optimistic about a deal. But no deal has closed yet." The last quote in the piece makes it sounds like a deal is far from being anything serious: "We haven't bought anything," continued Vogt, the Ex's top man. "For the record, we believe in newspapers. If anything is for sale, we'd be bidders on it. If Bruce and [his wife] Jean are gonna sell, we'd be interested."
This is some retarded shit, the blog and the comments. This gets one and a half smirks.
Addendum to Editor's note: Jelly didn't date Lady Sov., his buddy Zach Slow did...well, kinda. The date was a rather hilarious conceptual comedy bit/publicity stunt in which (I believe a non - costumed) Jelly D. come along the ride with. Lady Sov. later made fun of Mr. Slow's Grandma also accusing him of having granny foot the bill of much of the 10 thousand dollar "date." Whew. I would've liked to see them battle. That said, I am not surprised it didn't happen.
Oh...HELL, NAH!! This is some sad, sad news. First Cody's and now this. Damn, and this wasn't even reported in the Trib, huh? Shame.
