Re: “Critic's Choice for the week of March 14-20, 2007

Hi Guys, I was at the My Chemical Romance show in Oakland a few days ago and I ran across a problem with security there. Basically they stole our memory card of out our camera stating "no camera's allowed". When I say stole I mean they walked by our isle and grabbed the camera out of my hand without identifying themself and of course it was dark so we couldn’t tell what was going on so we followed. Next thing we knew we were up there with about a dozen people and the police had to get involved because this security guard by the name of "Alsedse" was creating and provoking the situation. The funny thing though is that we were searched by security at the front door and nothing was said about our two digital camera's and blackberries. Also if you look at the “Oracle Arena” website under permitted items it states “non professional” camera’s allowed. The security guard that took our stuff refused to let us talk to a supervisor nor would he give us his name until after Oakland Police insisted he do so. The people who were there to oversee the show and deal with any problems seemed to be the instigators of the situation. Any idea's as to where I should go with this? I want an apology from the management group and hopefully retrieve that memory card. We had other things on there that were valuable to us. I have not been able to get an actual person or anyone with any sort of authority and have found myself stuck. If anyone knows of anything please let me know. I was able to obtain the event planners direct line though. His name is Chad and he can be reached at 510-383-4817 ( I already left a voice mail). I was able to obtain an executive email address at "CMG" but have yet to hear from her. Did anyone else experience these problems? -Leticia
