This hippie outpost by West Oakland BART serves coffee, beer, wine, and breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Bohemian types are drawn to the decor, which can be described as "basement chic," with music and political posters covering the walls and motley furniture and old instruments taking up space. It is home to regular events like open-mics and benefit shows (often featuring owner and sometime Republican mayoral candidate Arnie Fields). A backyard patio offers a haven for smokers, and free wi-fi is available as well.
