McGrail Vineyard specializes in Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyard has been growing Cab grapes for ten years, and McGrail sourced grapes for Steven Kent Winery first, before beginning to bottle their own wines in 2003. Today, the winery produces about 1,000 cases a year, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon (though one Chardonnay, as well).
Mitchell Katz Winery sits on 97 acres of vineyard. The grapes are all owned by Wente Vineyards, of which 20 tons are usually bought back for Mitchell Katz wine. The winery produces 10,000 cases of wine every year made, in large part, from the grapes grown in the Livermore Valley. Varietals include Petite Sirah, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Port, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc. Make sure to try the winery's 2007 Sangiovese, and 2006 "Black Gold" Petite Syrah Port both were winners a slew of medals and awards.

The Mountain winery traces its roots back to 1878, when founder Paul Masson began grafting vines planted by early California missionaries to vines brought from the French vineyard where he grew up. The resulting champagne was a wild success, generating enough money for Masson to build his own winery in Saratoga. Today Mountain Winery produces Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Sauvignon Blanc, and Syrah. The winery has become well-known as a music venue as well. They host a summer concert series in a amphitheater on the property that consistently draws big-name performers between June and October.
Murieta's Well is part of the Wente Family Vineyards. Eleven varietals are grown on the property: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot, Mouvedre, Tempranillo, Zinfandel, Souzao, Touriga Francesca, Touriga Nacional, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. All grapes grown on the 92-acre estate are sustainably-farmed, and wine-making operations are overseen by Phillip Wente. Anywhere from 5,000 to 8,000 cases are produced annually, depending on conditions that year.
