Formerly the Last Day Saloon, this new higher-tech venue features free wi-fi, an iTunes jukebox, a full bar, table seating on two levels, plus live bands Tuesday through Saturday nights playing jam, rock, jazz, hip-hop, and covers. Open daily at 7 p.m., shows start at 9 p.m. Cover $10 and under. Located in San Francisco's Richmond District.
This intimate venue books national and local bands and comedians: Acts like Mos Def, Dave Chappelle, Ra Ra Riot, Kid Sister, and Elephant Man have performed on The New Parish’s small stage since it opened in January 2010. The club has a balcony, exposed brick walls, a back patio, and barbecue served for late-night munchies.
In addition to screening an eclectic mix of films, from independently made movies to documentaries, the theatre hosts live comedy shows, concerts, poetry readings, and other theatrical performances.
Located a couple blocks from Ashby BART, Nomad provides the soy-latte crowd a place to discuss their recent trips to Guatemala and work on their laptops, thanks to free wi-fi. In addition to the espresso menu, Nomad serves sandwiches, beer, and smoothies.
