Yabusaki's is a small, family-owned nursery that specializes in bonsai trees. It has a good selection of bonsais as well as tools, soils, pots, and wire to help the budding or seasoned bonsai artist get started. However, its selection doesn't stop with bonsais. It also has a small array of indoor plants, perennials, annuals, edibles, containers, and small- to medium-sized trees.
This Rockridge bar — designed as though a frat house has been airlifted and dropped into a ski lodge, with a roaring fire and ping pong tables — is a great place: friendly but not decorous; well-loved but not dirty; lively but not claustrophobic, and, mercifully, quiet enough to have a conversation.
