Situated in downtown Walnut Creek, Red House Live offers a “revolutionary new music experience”: a state-of-the-art, all-in-one facility to buy gear, rehearse, take lessons, jam, record, perform, and network. Though it’s designed for all levels of musicians, Red House Live definitely appeals to the young, aspiring musician -- and looks wholly legitimate to their parents, too. Most live shows (mostly rock bands) happen on Saturday nights, start at 7:30 p.m., cost $10, and are open to all ages. The room is small, but the fancy sound and light system make up for it.
