Dashe Cellars produces a Dry Riesling, a Grenache, a Petite Sirah, and a Cabernet Sauvignon, but Zinfandels are their real specialty. They have five: one from the young Florence Vineyard in Sonoma, one from Todd Brothers Vineyard in Geyserville, a Late-Harvest Zin picked from Lily Hill vineyard at Bella Winery, another from the Dry Creek Valley, and one made from 70-year-old Louvau Vineyard vines in recently re-discovered buried beneath weeds on a Sonoma County property. They have a second tasting room, Family Wineries of Dry Creek Valley, in Healdsburg.

Help People’s Community Market create a full-service neighborhood food store, health resource center and community hub that supports West Oakland families to attain healthier and more socially connected lives. There are no full-service grocery stores in West Oakland and as a result, the inconvenience, time and cost of these shopping trips lead many residents to regularly shop at nearby corner stores that carry mostly processed, poor quality foods sold at high prices causing 3x the rates of obesity and diabetes compared to Alameda County. California residents can help by buying shares in People’s Community Market’s enterprise and become Founding Shareholders in the entrepreneurial solution we’re creating for the nutritional and social wellbeing of West Oakland families. This is not a donation. It’s not a Wall Street investment. This is a real local investment that makes a positive social impact while earning a return of 3% annual interest + 1% store credit.
