A West Oakland warehouse that formerly belonged to American Steel, the location has been transformed into a venue for installation art that showcases the best of what the Bay Area has to offer.

Located at the base of the Berkeley hills, the Ames Gallery is the West Coast's only gallery featuring contemporary paintings, drawings, and sculpture created by self-taught, visionary, and outsider art in addition to antique Americana folk art.

Amnesia is located right on Valencia Street in San Francisco's Mission District. It offers bluegrass and country music on Mondays. Tuesdays are generally reserved for karaoke. Wednesdays offer live jazz and late-night with Mitch Marcus' pick-up jazz session. Thursdays and Sundays have various live music from the indie scene in the city. Friday and Saturday have DJs and dancing. Some night have covers, so call ahead.
