Escape The Holiday Potluck

Thu., Nov. 26, 4-10 p.m.
Escape The Holiday Potluck
Depending on how well you get along with your family, the holidays can be equal parts joyous reunion and hellish ordeal. For those who skew more toward the latter camp, why not just make a break for it? That’s the kind of escape the good, beer-loving folks at Oakland’s Beer Revolution (464 3rd St.) are offering with their annual Thanksgiving Day potluck. Forget the turkey, and whip up a batch of whatever you like to eat — as long as you bring enough to share. More ambitious cooks can take advantage of the grill that will be provided on the patio. Best of all, any beer from the bar’s extensive tap list will run you just $5 for the duration of the potluck. Heck, even if you do have family members you actually like in town, you might just consider bringing them along. — Luke Tsai Free
