Oakland, Berkeley, And East Bay News, Events, Restaurants, Music, & Arts
These guys are artistic and fun...can't wait for this weekend's concerts!
Love hearing The Oakland East Bay Gay Men's Chorus perform! They're so amazing & they're voices are so angelic, and not to mention hilarious! It's a must see for everyone :)
I love Queer Camp!
I attended a few years ago to one of the first weekend camps that was held. I found myself in a wonderful balance of childhood activities like lanyards and tie-dye along with adult discussion sessions around family connections, self worth & cultural diversity. Hiking and dancing, music and singing, so many chances to be creative and to find my true self.
I highly recommend attending Queer Camp, regardless of your age and orientation. It's a welcoming place for all people.
Catahoula Coffee Roasters is one of the best things to happen to Richmond in a long time. The coffee is great and the owner, Timber, is the best! He is always doing things for the neighborhoods and community. Who has a customers appreciation day every year!
The best musical I have seen. It was a professionally done and reminded me of a Broadway show. It also featured a live band. This is the show you don't want to miss. It was simple wonderful!
Correction: The morning photo shoots start at 10 a.m. You're welcome to bring props and as many books as you want. Everyone is invited. Laney Library.
C&M&F was joined by Raul Ramirez on drums and John McArdle on Bass. Guest stars included Jet Black Pearl, Wayne Harris, Crystal Miller and a room packed with birthday celebrants, all enjoying the delicious food from Bacheesos Restaurant. Craig & MacGregor & Friends rock the house every Wednesday. $5 All you can eat before it disappears starts at 7pm. See you next week.
Sorry, folks, the Conga Lounge has been closed since 2015
Featured readers are often well awarded and published poets, yet the sessions in a private room in the restaurant are receptive and this is a good place for Open Mic where even a 1st-time reader can feel comfortable among the more established voices.

Great fun for kids and adults alike. Can't wait for the expo to open!
I cannot think of a better way to spend my Sunday evenings. Geoffrey's is a very comfortable setting, Yancie Taylor is fantastic. The band and the music are wonderful. I also love the Jam session. The dinner is only $5.00 and finger licking good.
If anyone has seen Vassar's previous film retrospectives, it's an amazing body of work and you'll learn a tremendous amount of never-before-known history about the National Parks. This presentation was first shown to a sell-out crowd in March 2016 at the Smithsonian Institution and it has sold out wherever it has appeared since. The program will be touring throughout California in 2016 and into 2017, so here's an amazing opportunity to see it in the Bay Area's most intimate theater.
Awesome!! Can't wait!!
This show is actually on the 14th! If you could please amend that?
I believe that it should be a requirement that all city officials and police chiefs throughout California should see this display so that they can have the unbiased truth about this plant and how politics have steered public opinion on this issue,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
One more thing the event goes from 5-10pm
This is awesome! Lets get Oakland Small Biz online for Summer 2016!!!
