I am a bi man, and I'm closeted. This article definitely touches on why. I have a few things to add though.
Earlier in life, for years after I figured out I was bi, I was closeted for the usual reasons. (I'm from the Midwest, which doesn't help.) But later in life, as I've grown and matured, I've stayed closeted by choice. For a few reasons.
I'm not bi-romantic. I'm straight romantic. I have absolutely no romantic attraction to men. I would never date a man. I don't even like kissing men. But I am definitely attracted to their bodies and personalities. Sexuality and attraction is truly a spectrum.
Because of that, "coming out" as bisexual for me feels more like revealing sexual history than something that's integral to who I am as a person. I don't really feel like I'm hiding more than anybody else who doesn't generally talk about their sexual history.
And, while this may sound like a cop-out, another reason I've never come out is that no one has ever asked or been interested. I would not lie if someone asked, but literally no one ever has. I'm fairly masculine, married, and have always dated women, so it's just assumed that I'm straight. (I've volunteered it to past girlfriends and my now-wife for obvious reasons.) If someone were interested, I would talk about it, but as the author touches on here, society doesn't really want to hear about it, so I don't talk about it.
That said, male bisexuality absolutely needs to be more visible and destigmatized. That's the only reason I've seriously considered "coming out."
Dear Lou - Berkeley Community Chorus and Orchestra's 50th anniversary performance of Britten's Requiem was selected as SFCV's classical chorus concert of year. A difficult, large piece splendidly performed.Audience quote "It was an extraordinary performance. Being there just brought us incredible energy and showed the crashing of the powers that be. This chorus piece was the most unusual that you all have done but it touched me deeply."

The same people responsible for "Bumfights" are responsible for the Trump statues.
The unfortunate truth about Trouble is their troubled reputation with the QPOC community. You can't call someone "too dark" for porn and think you can get away with it. We know your ignorance.
Planting Justice has been my favorite organization for years. It is true they are real. Their contribution to the community and society at large is massive. Keep up the good work Planting Justice.

Having travelled a bit here and in famous beer brewing countries - like Germany, Netherlands, Czech. - we have to say that Oakland has the BEST IPAs by far. I was just this week under impressed with the brews served in Miami - glad to be back here in Oaktown where the REAL IPA lives.
Yes, this quite aptly describes Vidrale Franklin. She is an innovator extraordinaire. Not that often do you find one individual with so much passion for the success of students and families. I am so proud to have seen this flower bloom and to have worked with her! She knows first hand t what an excellent education can mean. Proud to say I saw it first! What a tribute to you Vidrale.
While I support making cannabis policy more "inclusive" and reversing damage caused by the War on Drugs, I am skeptical of efforts to promote cannabis industry as an economic solution for Oakland. Oakland's lax cannabis policy (lack of any enforcement by OPD) has resulted in a cottage grow-house industry, as I have personally witnessed in my neighborhood.
She is pretty nice woman. I’m not talking about outside look)))) today adult video is not so popular, as web camera services like http://www.hipwebcams.com/girls People don’t want just to watch, they also want to communicate, so frank talking to people, connecting them with each other is on time…
So, what's the trouble?)))
Oakland has a lot of heart to it. Oakland is a very proud city for all races but for black folks, it's got so much pride and so much to celebrate. Oakland is proud and for good reason too. It's the home of the black panther party, home of the Black Muslim bakery, home of many famous black musicians and music groups such as Toni Tone Tone, Too Short, Luniz, Dru Down, Mc Hammer, The Pointers Sisters, Sly and the Family Stone, and many more. It's also home to a large number of many successful black owned businesses and I know this for a fact cause I'm from the Bay Area and I know Oakland very well. Oakland also has positive things going on in its black community, big time. Kingston 11 is carrying on a rich tradition.

To Michael Dreyfus-Pai Anyone know about milk and juice cartons? They have layers of paper and plastic, but are often not recyclable.
City of Alameda service tells us to COMPOST (and we can collect our compostables in the cartons) IF THE PLASTIC CAP AND OPENING ARE FIRST REMOVED. Otherwise, recycle.
City of Alameda service takes those waxy coated cardboard milk/juice cartons in COMPOST IF YOU REMOVE THE PLASTIC OPENINGS (CAP AND OPENING). Otherwise they tell us to put in recycling.
Please email me more information on black ownership business in oakland i will continually susport our communities.
Thank you telling the African American experience through your beautiful gallery!
