Wow, stevieG, it's too bad that you feel this way. If you stopped your vague threats, complaints and personal attacks for a moment, you'd notice that UnderCover has established an incredibly fun new style of presentation that helps everybody involved. In this last iteration, over 100 musicians were able to collaborate and forge ties with each other, a benevolent local record label and an incredibly talented pool of audio engineers. It's difficult to comprehend how you could see the project as anything but a way to strengthen our music scene.
As for Lyz, she put in an incredible amount of time, enthusiasm and hard work to make it come together. She is one of the most altruistic, industrious and downright delightful professionals I've met. It's blindingly clear from your writing that you haven't met her. Not sure where you get your financial data from, because as a compensated artist, I'm quite happy with the arrangements. And let's freely admit that you don't have access to anyone's bank records.
Jeez.
Soundwave is a great band! The BBQ dinner was fantastic! There was no cover charge which is amazing. All the players in the band were experts at their craft. Not much room to dance but everyone is having such a great time, the atmosphere can't be beat. If you like big band music, you have to go.
Any way you could post the program? I live in Bend, Oregon and won't be there but am very interested in what works you have programmed. Thanks.
Now hold up. I hear the music scene is bad, mostly because there aren't enough venues willing to support local musicians. BUT Lyz, the main person putting this together is running a scam. She is playing off the musicians in the SF Scene. She is loaded, and could afford to pay everyone if she really meant to do something good. Instead she has a bunch of bands working for free, or for nearly nothing, while she makes money off this.
Support the music scene, yes. I belive whole heartedly in doing that. But, what we have here is a little rich kid playing fast and loose with the music scene. You are here play toy, until she gets bored I suppose.
A better showcase of the SF Music Scene would be YOU making your own kind of music. Quoting the Mama's and the Papa's! And then figuring out the hows and whys of what it takes to create a movement. Your music, or anybody's for that matter, only works when you leave people moved, touched and inspired. You aren't doing that by playing someone else's stuff.
I won't go into any personal attacks, as some would frown upon that. But for those of you who work hard and want your material to be appreciated you are making a big mistake. Those of us in the music scene are watching this. Anyone who signs up for this, can just go right ahead and hope something will come of it. We won't help you if you continue being used in this way. The way we see it, you will have chosen your path and you should keep right on going with it. Why should we help you? You are signing up with someone who is only interested in getting their ya, ya's at your expense. If you are going to be a dup, then we can't see any reason to suit up and help you.

Hippy is an establishment label for a profound, invisible, underground, evolutionary process. For every visible hippy, barefoot, beflowered, beaded, there are a thousand invisible members of the turned-on underground. Persons whose lives are tuned in to their inner vision, who are dropping out of the TV comedy of American Life.

My advice to people today is as follows: If you take the game of life seriously, if you take your nervous system seriously, if you take your sense organs seriously, if you take the energy process seriously, you must turn on, tune in, and drop out.

Do you want me to tell you something really subversive? Love is everything it's cracked up to be. That's why people are so cynical about it...It really is worth fighting for, being brave for, risking everything for. And the trouble is, if you don't risk anything, you risk even more.

What a great time had by all. Congrats to the winning bands, Animolia, Ten Days New, Groovy Judy, and 1st place Cast Iron Crow. The 12 bands rock the stage at Chabot College. The winners of last years show Devil's Angels perform the closing songs for the show. This young band wrote and dedicated a song to Late Phil Kennemore of Y & T. At this show we had a very special guest John Nymann, guitar player from Y & T. John, come out on the stage to hand the First Place Band a beautiful hand made Bisceglia Guitar. It was a very magical night.
Congrates again to the bands... A special thank you to all the sponsors who make the show possible by providing the prizes for the bands. There is a difference between responsible reporting and what Melissa Martin chose to write about the CCSVI Clinic in this article. She was in possession of factual information and documents that put the CCSVI Clinic in a favorable light but chose to withhold the information she received from the physicains and researchers at CCSVI Clinic that would have conflicted with her agenda to smear our reputation in order to sensationalize her story. At no time did anyone from the CCSVI Clinic pressure patients into going to India for the Liberation Procedure. She should have considered that the one single person who made that claim clearly had her own agenda because she was disheartened by her 'borderline' results. We simply provide information to people about our enhanced hospital stay and aftercare program should a patient decide to have the procedure. You can't pressure someone to make an important decision about their health and all of our literature clearly states that. These MS patients are more knowledgeable about the CCSVI condition and about the options for treatment than most physicians are. To suggest that they can be pressured into a decision to have the procedure done in India is ludicrous. Patients who have signed up to be part of our open-ended study on the safety and efficacy of an enhanced aftercare protocol to reduce the rate of re-stenosis versus having the procedure on an outpatient basis (which may be contributing to long term failure of the procedure) have done so to ensure that they are getting the best care possible and because they want to be part of the important work we are doing for MS patients. http://www.ccsviclinic.ca/

CCSVI-MSketeers held a very successful fundraiser on August 14, 2010 at Sam's Log Cabin for Dr Michael Dake, a luminary professor and Interventional radiologist and director of the cardio cath labs at Stanford University Hospital. He is conducting a highly anticipated study of this exciting new treatment for Multiple Sclerosis. For more information please refer to CCSVI.org. or ISNVD.org and ms-mri.com. Kind Regards. All for one and one for all.
It is estimated that the failure rate of the “liberation therapy” may be 50% or higher, even through the most experienced and best-known surgeons in Poland and Albany, NY. As more and more people receive the therapy there is growing concern amongst patients that the procedure needs to include a post-procedure protocol that is more effective than simply releasing the patient from the hospital or clinic within hours or a day of the procedure.
CCSVI Clinic Physicians have applied for an International Ethics Board study approval entitled: “PROSPECTIVE, OPEN-LABEL STUDY OF THE SAFETY, EFFICACY AND RE-STENOSIS RATES IN MS PATIENTS WITH CCSVI UNDERGOING ENDOVASCULAR TREATMENT WHO RECEIVE AN ENHANCED HOSPITAL AFTERCARE PROTOCOL. Important previous studies on non-MS patients who have had the same venous angioplasty indicate that it’s critical to position and movement control patients post-procedure, monitor them for days afterward in the hospital with various imaging techniques, and re-treat if necessary. CCSVI Clinic is already sponsoring patients for this protocol with a 10-day stay in the hospital where patients will be imaged daily, post procedure. If there is evidence of re-occlusion, they will be taken back to the OR and re-treated. Past studies of non-MS patients with the same venous blockages have noted a cascade of failure points distally in venous vessels post angioplasty, and the hypothesis proposes that the study on MS patients will produce the same results. Once home, patients will be screened and interviewed at regular intervals by CCSVI Clinic Physician Researchers for several years after the treatment to study the changes and make comparisons between those who have followed the protocol and others who have had the procedure on an outpatient basis.
It should be mentioned that our research is under much scrutiny and attack from elements that are trying to control the industry and the dialogue. A well-organized campaign to discredit CCSVI Clinic and our research is underway in the social media. We would ask you to have the independence of thought to see through their campaign of deceit.
Regular research updates will be published on the CCSVI Clinic website http://www.ccsviclinic.ca/ . Questions about participation may be directed toward the CCSVI Clinic administration at 1-888-419-6855.

One of my massage clients is experienced in lucid dreaming and Astro Projection and will be a guest speaker at a meet-up I host on the 26th of December. He has asked me if I could do a past life regression or know of anyone that does past life regression. He would like to experience the Akasha Chronics where all knowledge is stored; a databank of all stored information.
If you don’t know about meet-ups, a meet up is where people come together with zero skill level, to years of experience to learn and grow and practice. http://www.meetup.com/San-Francisco-Hypnosis-NLP-Practice-Group/ If you would be interested in offering a past life regression in San Ramon CA or via SKYPE during our meet up on the 26th starting at noon, please let me know, and/or if you are willing to talk me through it, that would be great too.
Thank you and Happy Holidays!

Re: “UnderCover Presents: Pixies' Doolittle w/ More Than 100 Musicians”
Let me start off by saying I fully support the music scene in SF, but this event was quite disappointing. The show seemed poorly planned seeing as there was so much time in between each individual song, it was hard to sit through. I got up and left by 11 pm because it was more sitting around than listening to music.
