Ignite - could really mean "inspiring"! I went 2 years ago & of course - was "inspired" by all of the start-ups & true local businesses doing their thing. Now as for this year, I'm in it myself! We'll see how it goes... I'm sure I'll be in good "company" hahaa (pun intended.) Success 2 ALL!
I went last year and it was really fun. I enjoyed the new businesses that were launching and the stilt walkers were cool too.
exellent pick of cheeses, explanation of various cheeses, taste if needed.
The fresh spring rolls are the best I've had anywhere. We always come back because the food is so good and reasonably priced. Staff is attentive and friendly.
Hidden and hip gem with decor to make everyone look beautiful. Best bartenders: good looking and friendly and knowledgeable. Memorable cocktails.
Always the best. A special place like a refuge from the usual high end bay area restaurant scene. Go for something grilled on the open flame. Tops.

Fixed!

This address is wrong. The gallery is at 1027 3rd Street, Oakland, 94607
This place was a DIVE. Tall blond waitress hit on my date and gave my date her phone number. Wrong food. No water after it was Reordered. DIVE. BAD SERVICE. Customer had to Leave HUNGRY.
5 Stars because it is great for the street art aficionado and the street artists! Not only does the gallery display and sell some of the works of the up and coming street artists, they also sell materials for your bombing pleasure, from fat caps to your fave krink colors, they have the works. As if that isn't enough, if you are a graff buff but not so hot at hittin the streets, they supply the knowledge for a small price. And by they, I mean Nate1 and Novy. On top of alllll that, you can even get the crew at 1AM to hit up your not so cultured walls! So much more than just a gallery.........
Free monthly music and art events in an intimate setting. What more can you ask for?
This place is just like the cafes in Florence. The food is superb! The coffee is fantastic! And I'm not even a coffee drinker. I'm totally hooked.
love Love LOVE the Alameda antique fair! I always find just what I'm looking for...the most recent craving: vintage cowboy boots. Scored a pristine pair of Luccheses for $75!
This place has it all modern, vintage, local, ethnic, and below retail. If you want to add some accessories to your home or furnish a new home they are good for both. They can discount products lower because its like T.J. Max and Ross with clothes but its all kinds of stuff for your home. You have to visit if your any where near Berkeley, CA.
“The best food, best service and great view.” — The best food, best service and great view. Now with original ownership after a few years we will get to see great service. Back to the good al days. You can have a beautiful Wedding at Humphrey's On The Delta with three lovely wedding sites to choose from. Humphrey's will provide personal assistance from beginning to the end of your special occasion. Splurging at top-rated restaurant is fun for special events, but where can you go for a good quality meal that won't break the bank?
This is so huge, you can't believe it! I don't think I've ever finished it due to its size and the number of vendors. There are probably over 1000, to be honest. And each one is very unique. You'll see everything from vintage clothing to tools, furniture jewelry, plants, European items, Asian items, Native American, Africa, textiles and beads from Eastern parts of the world, and so on. It's a tremendous place to shop. Just bring your walking shoes for sure. The one drawback is lack of seating for when you finally take a snack/lunch break! I suppose if I went before 9 a.m. when the entrance price is higher than $5, I'd see the whole thing, but my feet still wouldn't survive! It's still worth going to. Store up your money and have some fun. There's an ATM just outside the entrance gate too. Some vendors take credit cards. I typically pay with cash. Getting in on a nice sunny morning is a chore due to the traffic. Same thing for when you leave. It'll take what seems to be a lifetime just getting onto Webster Street in Alameda so you can get back onto 880 and head home. By then you're totally pooped! But you'll have so many neat goodies to enjoy once you get there!
I second the previous reviewer. It was a great place, even a five star place. Staff was great, it was always great to drop by.
Now you get a meager 4 tastings for the money. If they have wine on sale, that does not mean it is for taste (what sense does that make?), no deviation from the tastting menu anymore. Most wine got mediocre. I am no longer a member and won't buy there anymore.
We went with a group of friends a few weeks ago. Very funny comedians. Laughed like crazy. Easy to get to, great dinner first, service wonderful. drinks during show. Looking forward to going back!
Thai Delight is a place for Authentic Thai food. The decor is very attractive, and waterside alike.
Re: “Saturn Cafe”
Just to clarify: The Saturn opens at 11:00a on weekdays and 10:00a on Saturday and Sunday. Wasn't sure where to submit changes...
