Re: “Berkeley Farmers Market Canceled Due To Safety Fears Over Pro-Trump, Alt-Right Rally

JJ noire. I sence a lot of pent up frustration and anger. I am not compairing my self to any free speech activists of the past. I am just trying to protect the security of people who would like to speak their mind. Why is this so infuriating to you?. I will be working with law enforcment professionals from across the country to try to ensure a safe event.

A coward is someone who makes acusations and hurls insults online, while allowing American citizens to be assaulted in the streets of their own city.

The left has so femanized their men that real men have to step up from other states and cities to defend your citizens rights. Keep typing JJ you won't see anything from me Saturday I will be busy doing the job you and your feminized men refuse to do. Maybe you can bake some cookies for us.

Re: “Rent Increases In Alameda Outpace Regional Hikes As City Debates Whether Policy Is Working

The $3.7 million is a provable lie. Ask the mayor and Jim Oddie to show you the calculation to prove the number. They cannot. It is not provable because not one iota of analysis was done to back it up. The City spent over $300,000 for a consultant to perform a thorough analysis of the cost to administer the city's L1 rent ordinance, but not one red cent to analyze Measure M1. The consultant's report is on the city council web site, if you want to read it, or e-mail me and I'll send you a copy.

As them to show you the "survey" that lobbyist McConnell quoted from. It has never been made public and never will be because the distortions it contains will be revealed.

The Renters Coalition never stooped to lies and distortions, which were the stock and trade of the Realty Cabal opposing them. It's the only way the City-Realty Cabal could have won. And it was shameful.

You know, everybody always thinks that voters who don't vote for the same candidates/measures as they do are, "Brainwashed", "Misinformed", "Uneducated" etc.. ad infinitum. Not true. People just disagree with you, is all.

Re: “Berkeley Farmers Market Canceled Due To Safety Fears Over Pro-Trump, Alt-Right Rally

I held an event in Provo Park once. Had to pay for a permit, and leave a cleaning deposit. Would have been arrested without those. Seems like invading a farmers market might be a cheap but highly illegal and totally unethical alternative.

Re: “Rent Increases In Alameda Outpace Regional Hikes As City Debates Whether Policy Is Working

"... Alameda voters overwhelmingly chose the citys ordinance."

Almeda voters were swayed by a massive $766,000 misinformation campaign controlled by the California Apartment Association ("CAA") and funded by out-of-town realty interests.*

Prominent among the misinformation was the city's "$3.7 Million Lie," a grossly overstated estimate of the budget required to administer Measure M1 (the renters' measure.)

The $3.7 million cannot be defended. Not once ounce of analysis is behind it, yet Oddie wrote an Op-ed piece promoting it and allowed his photograph to be used in campaign signs and literature touting the $3.7 million lie.

Also prominent among the misinformation was the assertion that the renter group (the Alameda Renters Coalition) was comprised of "radicals from Berkely." Nothing could have been further from the truth.

The CAA's media campaign funded expensive newspaper ads and TV commercials touting the same lies and distortions. In the face of this media onslaught, how can voters be expected to make informed choices? They cannot.

Renters were not the only casualties of this dishonorable Realty exploitation of Alamedans; Democracy itself was slain on the steps of City Hall.

The City Council I think got it right. [Officials] struck a balance, said Greg McConnell, a consultant from Danville representing the landlords]..."

"Consultant"? Greg McConnell is a highly paid lobbyist who was allowed to speak on behalf of landlords at Council meetings without being identified as their paid lobbyist. He quoted from an expensive fake telephone survey (undoubtedly funded by Realty interests) that spoon-fed the same misinformation in the form of crafty leading questions. McConnell was undoubtedly behind this massive campaign of misinformation.

If voters knew the truth, they would have voted differently, but they were overwhelmed by lies and distortion.

It's difficult to believe that the opening of a Muslim house of worship on Good Friday is an accident or perhaps "coincidence."

If it was so obvious that she was a teenager, a 16 year old child why was she out and about at that time of night, why hadn't she been home in days, why was she pregnant? How about the family starts assuming some personal responsibility for letting their "child" roam free as if she was a mature adult. Because obviously she lacked critical thinking skills.

$15 is not affordable and neither is the $17 for the bleachers, drop the price to $5 because that's all the seat is worth. Remember the good old days when they were only $3 and second deck was $4 and the entire lower bowl was $5? Gas was 25 cents a gallon too.

Re: “AC Transit to Cancel Supplemental OUSD School Bus Routes

AC Transit is currently more interested in creating a FLEX service in other parts of its district to compete with Uber and Lyft for affluent riders with multiple transit options.....and OUSD students can go eat sand. Poverty is structural and decisons like this by the meat puppets at AC Transit illustrate it well.

Re: “Women-Led Mosque to Open in Berkeley

I am assuming that the reference to Berkeley MSA is UC Berkeley? I want to emphasis to the readers that Qal'bu Maryam is not in competition with any other gathering, or mosque. We understand that there will be those women who are in a system of patriarchy invented by men and for whom women become the gatekeepers. As the saying goes; If you build it they will come. I am not the least bit concerned with what her opinion is, I am concerned with creating a safe, nonjudgmental space for women who do feel that the "tradition" has left them out. And let me say this, we are not existing or working outside of tradition, just wanted to be clear on that. Jazak Allah Khair.

Re: “New Dating Site for Pot Users Has High Hopes

Many people have wrote articles of how they were helped by a spell caster but I am very grateful to this great spell caster who brought my ex husband back to me. This testimony is a true story and my name is Jennifer Sanchez. When i came in contact with this man was also through a testimony written about him and i have also encountered many testimonies about how he has been helping others with their life. To get back with an ex is one of the most inner most feeling many people would love to experience especially as those memories with our ex always cloud our mind when someone else does some of those things our ex used to do. I was a single parent for almost 6 years and though my ex husband was far away from my kids i still wish someday he will return back to me. This spell doctor i encountered known as Doctor Odunga helped me with my wishes and i am happy to say that i am back with my ex husband and i am very happy sharing the testimony with everyone so that they too can meet this great doctor and solve their problems. I don't know what others might feel about getting their ex back in their life but i always know there is a blessing in disguise with just a single reconnection with an ex. If you want to successfully get back with your ex, visit this website odungaspelltemple.wordpress.com or contact this great spell caster at odungaspelltemple@gmail.com and share an awesome testimony too just like me.

Re: “AC Transit to Cancel Supplemental OUSD School Bus Routes

@Anthony Moore, "I believe there is still REGULAR service serving these schools" Sad to say there are no buses that serve the 2/3 schools that I know of and attended, Montera and Skyline, used the supplemental bus service exclusively to get to and from school. I could get by over a decade ago getting to Montera as there was a bus that got within 2-3 blocks of Montera, however that route was cut about a decade ago. Secondly, I would hate when the supplemental buses would skip my stop that went to Skyline, there were 6 of them 3 to each of the 2 lines that served that stop. The only option at that point was to take a bus near Merritt College and walk about a mile and a half uphill equivalent to 65 story building in height only to miss my first class entirely.
