Re: “Apple Virus U2.0

"this collaboration stings most because it repurposes something Radiohead proved to be a liberating asset of the internet — free distribution — as a service of corporate marketing"

Gosh, what a surprise. Corporations appropriating the culture for their own benefit. What's next, profit-taking?!

It's how the system works. We create, they profit.

Re: “Apple Virus U2.0

I would still be pissed even if a band that i didn't absolutely despise suddenly appeared in my library. bach would be the exception, maybe. or p.j. harvey! ...but that would be even creepier because they'd know what i love deep down. the lesson here? it's hard to forget when you've found a maggot in your Apple.

Re: “Apple Virus U2.0

I don't think Radiohead has repeated that business model so it probably didn't work out for them well. I think whatever is on the album (good or bad)--and what made the Apple deal happen--all comes from insecurity/anxiety. Band, label, Apple--all of it.

Here's my full album review http://t.co/5owI4Di2Pk and breakdown of the deal http://t.co/JtqsD3N45W if interested in full rationale. I'm happy to read any perspective others may have, whether you agree or disagree.

Re: “The Icky Boyfriends: "We Still Suck"

"I actually don't want to make circ. illegal, I just want to end it."
Doctors could simply refuse to do it, as a matter of medical ethics, and more and more do. In most of the developed world it is not offered and not asked for, because it's not seen as a matter for "parental choice". Several senior lawyers have argued that it is already technically illegal, like the non-consented, non-therapeutic removal of every other normal, healthy, functional, non-renewing body part. The law just lacks enforcement.

Re: “The Icky Boyfriends: "We Still Suck"

I ask people "Do you think it's okay to cut off part of someone's body without their permission?" It's a YES or NO question. There's no middle ground.

It's evil to forcefully cut off 65%-85% of the males sexually charged fine-touch receptors. Leaving it straitjacketed by it's own skin is diabolical.

California's 2011 law AB 768, with only one parent's permission (a 25% chance of keeping one's foreskin), allows this genital mutilation to be forced upon any male to age 18, to be done without medical knowledge, without pain relief, to be done anywhere, with anything. Who made this law? Our now State Board of Equalization member Fiona Ma and assembly member Mike Gatto. There's nothing equal about AB 768.

Circumcision minimizes the breadth and depth of sensation. Cut males find it uncomfortable to have their glans touched after orgasm, but intact males don't experience this negative because they have all of their pleasure receptors to override such unpleasantness. Intact men can just continue to go and go and go. Yes circumcision is a limiter of multi orgasms.

Re: “Can Birdland Take Flight in Its New Location?
