I love the Heart and Dagger for an afternoon lazy beer with dogs and friends! Sitting on the friendly patio watching the dogs play while sipping a beer and laughing with friends is all I need to make it a great day!

although outside of EBX's coverage area, the SF Nature Friend's Tourist Club is awesome. You have to walk at least a quarter of a mile to get to it, but you'll feel especially accomplished if you opt for the 40 minute hike, which involves climbing the never-ending Dipsea Steps in Mill Valley and hiking along a cliffside path which made me feel like I was in Lord of the Rings.

Listing the beers on the chalkboard is anything but pointless. On my last visit, it was constantly updated as some beers ran out and were replaced by others. It's a dizzying array of choices, but the name of the beer helps narrow the selection down. There are weekly events and they keep their Facebook very well updated. About food--I've learned to get my food to go so I can enjoy a brew with my meal. Nearby choices are restaurants at Jack London Square, Souley Vegan (right next door!), and Nation's Burgers. I usually make it an all-around beer night and hit up The Trappist as well, which is just up Broadway several blocks.

for the record, Beer Revolution has been open two years, not three. it opened Feb 2010

I went there and ran into business men also from Walnut Creek, so I think it's also got big appeal to the 'burb crowd that isn't willing to bridge, just tunnel, it. That's probably a bad thing, but hot damn if I'm not in love with whatever rye I drank too much of.

Ummmm.... Pyramid was our joint!!! Then this place moved in a few blocks from us- our new joint!!! Walking there and back is awesome- And yes we have 2 well behaved children.
