Excellent recommendation EBX. I tried Dal Makhani and Palak Paneer today, they were both very good. I wish I had told them to make it hotter but I forgot.
As a Desi I can attest to the quality. More importantly they use good oils and probably use it only once, there is no need to explain this further most people will understand why.
I'll follow up when I try the Southern Indian food. Nice people too and I nicknamed the Owner(?) "Mr. Grumpy." In a nice way of course.
Best food quality and taste.
Simply the best Indian restaurant in the Bay Area! Their food is mostly locally-sourced and organic.

Ajanta gave me a severe case of food poisoning a couple of years ago. My guess is the scallops, mentioned above, was the culprit.
I bought a coupon for this place. We went here before heading downtown.
\As soon as we walked in, the staff was right there with smiles and welcoming arms. They are very knowledgeable and very quick to satisfy. Best of all I can watch them make my food. The food was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!
This place is mostly organic and very vegan friendly!!! Regular stop for me!!
So yummy. I wish I had the menu as I am bad with names but the vegi pakora, I believe it is called is definitely recommended.
Best cheese steak believe it or not! Their pizza is to die for too!
