Re: “The New Parkway Theater

A great theater / cafe / community space. Ever wanted to order gourmet food, good beer, then go sit in a theater with stadium seating filled with comfortable living room furniture, and have your food delivered to you? You can do that here. Just for that, let alone the good this place does for the community, I think it's the best theater in the East Bay.

Re: “Rialto Cinemas Cerrito

Excellent choice of films... and food! I also admire the opening of a NEW movie theater in this brave new era.

Re: “Rialto Cinemas Cerrito

Movie with pizza and a beer: what could be better. Also, their presentations of special events (like London's "National Theater Live" series) is fantastic.

Downstairs theater only - the upstairs screens are a joke!

Re: “Alameda Theatre & Cineplex

The movie theater has that old-timey feel AND perfectly buttered popcorn. The perfect place to catch a Sunday night flick.

Re: “Michaan's Auctions

An interesting and educational place to work. The owners are fair, the clientle a quirky mix of characters and the merchandise a myriad of treasures of varying degree. Here one can has the opportunity to control their monthly work schedule and if ambitious and interested can work their way up into positions of more responsibility. Just being here can be a lesson in art & antiquities if one chooses to pay attention.

Re: “Grand Lake Theater

The Grand Lake Theater is a gem, a historical beauty with comfortable seats, a large lobby, an amazingly generous owner with a social conscience who donates the theater for important benefits, events, to save the country, the world.
