Re: “Why We Have A Body

Superb ensemble!" "Intelligent and emotionally provocative." "An energy infused story of women and family" I attended the opening night performance in San Francisco with 4 friends. We laughed, nodded our heads in agreement, and reflected on some of the wonderful lines that were gems of wisdom about life, love, and family.

San Francisco audiences are paying $20-$60. Oaklanders can see this hit comedy for FREE at the Oakland Magic performance on Sat., 9/17 at 2:30 pm.

One FREE show in Oakland per Magic Theatre (SF) production. Next show: Annapurna by Sharr White 11/19 2:30 FREE. Venue: Laney College Theatre 900 Fallon St. X from Lake Merritt BART

Re: “Evolve Every 2nd Friday

Evovle has the perfect blend of House Music DJ's that capture our Mind, Body, & Spirit. DJ Kimani clearly conveys the depth of House music, DJ Patrick Wilson keeps the energy going and DJ Soul Luciani delivers it home with his insightful energy of a preacher in his pulpit bringing the church to their feet. Era Art Bar & Lounge is the perfect environment to host the best of our House Music DJ's in Bay!

Re: “Abbots Bromliad

Last year's Bromliad was great fun. The dance comes from the village of Abbotts Bromley in England, where every year men carrying reindeer antlers dance through the town and surrounding countryside for most of the day in a ritual so old that no one knows it's origins. Between the haunting music and the beauty of the forest glade, it was a magical experience. What a great way to celebrate the coming of fall!

Re: “Abbots Bromliad

I arrived too late last year to join in the big Abbotts Bromley -- but watching it was amazing. About 100 adults and kids walking in patterns to a haunting melody in and out of the woodsy area behind the glade. Some people were carrying reindeer horns, others were dressed in costumes. After the mass dance, people picnicked and then some English dances were called. A very fun day!
