Phil Jones you are an idiot and you are probably looking forward to large tax increases by the state of California. It will happen when federal funds are withheld from the left coast.
The problem here is that ABInBev buys up distributors in order to destroy the channel for independent craft brewers to get their beers distributed. This is completely unacceptable and any ABInBev owned and operated business should be boycotted.
The concerns are legitimate.
The craft beer movement has been one of the most exciting pushes away from factory food back to local craftsmanship, community values and a resurgence of beer culture in this country lost since before prohibition. When the largest multinational beer corporation tries to pass as part of the authentic local brewing community, that is not just a cute marketing tactic, it is strikingly lopsided and cynical competition for the up and coming brewers rooted here. It's a tactical move to pull apart the famous cooperation among the independent brewers. Beer monopoly dressed up in a shipping container is not good for beer, not good for Oakland, not even good for Oakland business. Score one for Brazilian-Belgian multinational ABImbev, though. Here comes the fake authenticity blueprint ready for every cool town in first American then elsewhere.
BondGraham and Winston certainly deserve recognition for their good work.
Needs to be said that coverage of Oakland government, politics and community has long offered endless opportunities for productive investigative journalism. Local media ignore most of Oakland's economic and social problems and the destructive and shameful failures in city hall.
There remains an enormous amount of work yet to done telling the stories of what really goes on in Oakland.
I agree that this seems a great development for North Oakland. I don't follow the editorial sub-text that runs through this report that somehow AB InBev's involvement is a bad thing - unless it's a personal bias harbored by the author?
ICE is racist just like Trump and the Republican Party.

I am pretty sure Lady Esther's opened on 7th Street before 1968. I remember it as a child. Glad to see it back

(I PROMISED DR Ahmed TO SHARE THIS GREAT TESTIMONY TO EVERYONE THAT COMES MY WAY.) Please bear with me and read on!I noticed a sudden change when my husband started cheating on me.'For the worse,'he started treating me and our little kids as total strangers'.I knew once that something had gone wrong. I hired a private investigator that cost me a lot to help monitor his moves.Sadly,i was told he was seeing another woman. It turned out right to be what i was thinking. I couldn't just believe it so i confronted him with the pictures, but he denied it bluntly. he said she was just a lady he had some working project with but foolishly i believed him.But on one faithful day, i caught them red handed and that moment my heart stopped pumping for a while as i bust into tears. I have never seen in his eyes so much hatred before, to the extent that he would l have to cheat on me. I still remember his very words " "KEEP THE HOUSE AND YOUR SICK KIDS! He stopped coming home from that day. I tried all i could to make him come back home but all my efforts proved abortive till i stumbled on an article online about a spell caster: Dr Ahmed how he castes love spell to reunite broken relationships. But At first, I told myself it was a scam because i never believed in such but as pressure from my husband's lawyer increased i became desperate and gave it a chance. You never know until you break down the walls and give something a chance.Though i know it sounds too desperate but i love my husband and wanted him back.i contacted the love spell caster Dr Ahmed via his website and his phone number.I followed all his instructions and everything happened just as he said. My husband came back to me after 46 hours of preparing the love spell and we have been living for some years now without any problem. People call Doctor Ahmed as nice man but i call him a God sent! Here is contact details, WhatsApp +27631539694 email firstname.lastname@example.org
I'm excited for the development this can bring to the neighborhood! Of course we hope for more small local shops, but having an anchor like that as an attraction is a great start!
Hopefully Richmond's share of funds go to my city.
This is a common sense approach. Like most good ideas, it's so obvious in retrospect.
What about only the tip, just for a second, just to see what it feels like?
Kidding aside, isn't this a more healthy way to explore a relationship?
If Uber wants to follow the Warriors over to SF, let them try and ride the coattails of success.
They might find Oakland offers a place to live and work that's better suited to keeping it real. I'm just saying. San Francisco can get a bit caught up, it's in the history books if you look.
the gig economy is independent contracting that really doesn't benefit you. All the expenses fall on the driver, taxes, upkeep, etc. After putting 100,000 miles on a 2014 Avalon a part time driver for Uber will soon need a new car while still paying for the old one.
"I'm Making Only $2.64 an Hour Working as an Uber Driver" "Takele Gobena makes well below minimum wage and says he has no health coverage if injured."
How is the gig economy rubbish ? As a second job (not Uber or Lyft ride sharing), the "gig economy" EASILY, without much of a sweat puts an extra $400-$500 a week in my pocket. I know what I got into and am ABSOLUTELY satisfied with the arrangement.
Good riddance to bad, unethical, gig economy rubbish.
Our community in action:
Good for Ahern, he is following the law...I know that is odd for the "progressives" but for law abiding people it is refreshing. Next thing the "progressives" will want to empty the jail as most of them are political prisoners. Thank you for protecting us from criminals.
