Re: “Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf on President Trump: 'Move Beyond Anger to Action'

An assault on "Everything you believe in". Did it occur to you that maybe, just maybe your beliefs , all of them, are poorly thought out?

Re: “Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf on President Trump: 'Move Beyond Anger to Action'

And one more thing: Trump has said he will advocate for tax reform and make it easier to start a small business. Mayor Schaff is the mayor of a city that makes it almost impossible to start a small business. Ask anyone trying to get a permit. Is the Oakland mayor against tax reform? Is she against small business? I saw another spray painted epitaph in Oakland last week that said "kill Trump". And what about the about ubiquitus "FTP" spray painted after every BLM "Protest"? does that stand for Free The Police? Probably not.

Re: “Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf on President Trump: 'Move Beyond Anger to Action'

And Racist? There's an essay by Barbara Lee following this article. I have a photo of Ms. Lee with her standing next to a giant poster of a picture of George Bush and a gorilla! This photo was taken during a protest in front of Oakland city hall about 12 years ago. If someone compared current politicians to apes they would be arrested for hate crimes.

Re: “Oakland's Ron Dellums on President Trump: 'Step Forward'

This article has given me hope and strength and reminded me of our history as a nation, including all the social justice warriors like Ron Dellums who had the fortitude to persevere despite being the minority voice. People like Ron Dellums didn't base their actions on opinion polls or the changing winds of popular opinion or inaccurate and hurtful online commentators. They held steadfast to their values of fairness and justice and their love of humanity. May many more Ron Dellumses spring forth in this generation.

Re: “Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf on President Trump: 'Move Beyond Anger to Action'

Oh, I almost forgot, about misogyny. The local hatred of Sarah Palin and the things that were said about were over the top hateful. If I said she was stupid was I a woman hater? No, I was just on the right side of the political aisle.

Re: “Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf on President Trump: 'Move Beyond Anger to Action'

Bigotry? Mayor Schaff hates bigotry? I've heard people say they hate Trump because he's white, and a man. That isn't bigoted? Cal "students of color" blocked white students from walking onto campus a few weeks ago and I guess that isn't bigotry.? And what about Kaepeernick? He's held up as a social justice advocate and as an example tells Oakland kids not to vote or even get involved with politics. At least the evil Trump has enough respect for this country to follow the laws when it comes to the election process.

Re: “Oakland's Ron Dellums on President Trump: 'Step Forward'

Given that you were a very empty suit in Oakland your "words" mean nothing. Where were you when Oakland needed you? I can tell you that you weren't here. Murders and crime went through the roof during your so called time as Mayor.

Don't go away mad, just go away.

Re: “Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf on President Trump: 'Move Beyond Anger to Action'

So basically you're okay with break Federal law to suit your needs? Should I break some of Oakland's stupid laws since it doesn't suit mine?

Re: “Oakland's Ron Dellums on President Trump: 'Step Forward'

These are important words of wisdom from someone with deep experience in broad-based coalition building. Practical expertise and moral guidance is certainly what we need now, more than ever! I am so thankful to the Congressman for his many years of public service setting an example for the next generation of the bridge-building left as well as our current Democratic leaders.

Re: “Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf on President Trump: 'Move Beyond Anger to Action'

Mayor Schaaf why have you not loudly affirmed Oakland's status as a Sanctuary City and vowed to protect immigrants? This is an opportunity for you to lead and be a voice for justice.

Promise us that you will use the full force of your office to protect Oakland's immigrants persecution and deportation by the Trump administration.

Reassure us that you and OPD will not assist Immigration and Homeland Security authorities in terrorizing our friends, neighbors and families.

Re: “A New Way to Punish Oakland Cops?

Even though I was an acquaintance, former Lieutenant Clifford Wong was the nicest person I knew. He would go out of his way and put himself before anyone. If he didn't report this incident, he definitely had a reason, and a good one too. Also, I understand if Officer John Hargraves wanted to cover his name badge. There are many bad, terrible people in Oakland. Lots of people dislike police officers, and many people want to harm them. With the internet, just googling one name could give so much information.

Re: “Police! Drop That Fungus!

Mushroom collecting in any State Park is illegal unless permits are granted, which is highly unusual. Collecting in Samuel P. Taylor State Park and Tomales Bay State Park is prohibited.

The leads are inciting anger and bullying people. I cannot understand why this should be allowed online. They are doing this in Walnut Creek and all the complaints are ignored

Re: “Did An Oakland Cop Kill His Wife?

So EBX accepts the Alameda County DA's report on ex-OPD officer Gantt that there was no wrong doing, but is suspicious of Alameda County DA's report on the death of Lopez? Does not raise a single question about Gantt's trustworthiness, or that he may of mishandled evidence in an ongoing murder investigation where the suspect could face life in prison? Nope, DA says it was all fine so we'll leave it at that.

It seems like Bond-Graham only gives the benefit of the doubt to anyone in the OPD when they become a client of the authors friend Dan Siegel. If Siegel was not representing Gantt the only thing you would have heard about Gantt is how some innocent person may be going to jail because Gantt mishandled evidence.

Re: “Thousands of Demonstrators March Through Downtown Oakland to Protest Election of Donald Trump

The hate displayed by many protestors is amazing! So much for tolerance and open mindedness and respect. Just mobs of angry, misinformed young people who have far too much idle time on their hands.
Why aren't they protesting the unconstitutional and deplorable wars in the Middle East? The job killing TPP? Hello?

Re: “Thousands of Demonstrators March Through Downtown Oakland to Protest Election of Donald Trump

So funny that the Democrats before the election were like "Accept the results" but now since they didn't get their way, they're angry about the results.

Pot meet Kettle.

Libby Liibby say what? Impeding a police investigation? Add that to your resume.

Re: “Alameda’s District Attorney Wants to Charge Oakland Cops, But Key Witness Sent to Florida

For a traffic accident the Beverley Hills Court flew me from Texas to California and back , only to find they did not give me the right date , and for a crime they cannot buy Them a planer ticket , someone is kidding me , this aside there is such thing as electronic statement across the country , simply have them all in court , all sworn in all supervised by a Judge or DA and get the statement , truth is they want to protect these rotten cops a disgrace to their fellow Officers

Re: “Did An Oakland Cop Kill His Wife?

Well done BondGraham! Gantt's integrity speaks for itself, while OPD's history speaks for ITSELF. He put up with the politics and corruption for as long as he did because of his passion for his job and service to the people of Oakland
