Re: “Marijuana Laws On The Ballot in Seven States And Climbing This November Election

Of course, the "old Guard" republicans in Michigan, have pulled out all the tricks they could and have silence the voices & will of the citizens in Michigan. The Kingdom has put the kibosh to a rec. marijuana vote. (for now only - it will be back)

Re: “What A Trump Presidency Would Mean for Marijuana Law Reform: Worry

I sure it becomes legal all over the world. I live on the Big Island & grow the best smoke on the island. If I could burn with Trump he'd be all for it. Come on Mr. Trump, let's burn some.

Re: “Marijuana Laws On The Ballot in Seven States And Climbing This November Election

What we're seeing is the tail trying to wag the dog, when states make laws that directly conflict with federal (CSA) ones then "federal supremacy" steps in and is the law of the land according to our Constitution. Until Uncle Sam says its legal to "sell" and "profit" from a controlled substance and the transactions it simply cannot be lawful! If following state law has the potential of someone being prosecuted by federal entities and a ten year to life sentence in federal prison then the 5th Amendment also comes into play. The higharchy of law has existed for hundreds of years and any change has to occur from the "top down" not the "bottom up" or no individual is safe or protected from self incrimination and potential prosecution. Wake up America and smell the cannabis, tell congress to get off their ass and actual do something to resolve this issue once and for ALL! Marijuana is s plant put on this earth and given to us by God, it's not a drug manufactured by man and does NOT belong on the schedule of the CSA. If tomatoes had healing properties and helped us feel better and happier and think more freely would tomatoes be a "controlled substance" too? Think about it folks

Re: “Marijuana Laws On The Ballot in Seven States And Climbing This November Election

We are seeing a hail mary by moguls, billionaires, greedy people that want to continue a failed model of prosecution of a natural plant. Why are they trying to stop Cannabis? Simple - the model is successful for the 1%'ers. It feeds prisons, it provides government funding to police and court mandated therapy. It keeps the people popping pills instead of growing a natural medicine in your garden. It gives you true freedom - and empowers you to free yourself from capitalistic profiteering interests. This war on a plant is also a war against your freedom. Stand up to any immoral policies that tell you what you can't do with YOUR body & FREEDOM!

700k arrested yearly--so many lives ruined. Police,prisons, Big Rehab and Big Pharmacy prosper. Everyone else suffers. Our government was structured to benefit the people. Our rulers are subject to us, not vice versa. They government only with our consent. They are our servants not our masters.

Re: “California Set for Historic Vote on Cannabis Legalization

"Federal Supremacy" folks occurs when state laws directly conflict with federal law like the CSA! NO state law can legalize "selling" and "profiting" from a controlled substance and the transactions involved! What's been happening here in California is a travesty of justice and a conspiracy of money hungry law makers and greedy for-profit corporations misleading and misguiding us ALL in order to "profit" from our personal choice of medicine! You see since current state law doesn't specifically say we can "sell" and "profit" from marijuana they want to rewrite it so it says we can and that will make what they've been doing for years unlawfully lawful in the future! NO one is currently following state law as is was meant to be followed because the state didn't and doesn't explain the facts and the truth properly to individuals and organizations! Why you may ask, well they can't tax lawful business activities where NO transfer of ownership or "sale" occurs but they can tax unlawful business activities! They made the "Compassionate Use Act" the "Cash in on our Use Act" turning compassion into compensation just so they can "sin tax" what should be tax free medicine like prescribed medicine and produce! Marijuana is our #1 cash crop and they want a piece of the pie and because marijuana is a controlled substance and recommended not prescribed they think we're just stupid stoners that will let them TAX the hell out of our personal choice of mother natures finest cure! Wake up people and smell the cannabis before these lawmakers and for-profit corporations pull the wool over our eyes even further! The laws we have now coexist and coincide with federal laws and if followed properly protect us from outrageous taxation and the potential of federal prosecution so why let them turn it all upside down so we can continue to be fleeced out of our money for what God put on this planet to heal us and make us happy! This is ALL about money folks so read up, educate yourselves and vote NO to the corporate capitalist trying to continue to mislead and misguide us simply so the can make money from a plant that can and will save America and the world!

Re: “Review: 'The Little Black Book of Marijuana'

I am inspired by this post to make our world better as drugs ruin lives of thousands of people every year and I reckon we should struggle to get rid of such a dangerous plant. Turn to http://customwriting-s.com/ to get more info.

Re: “Felony Marijuana Arrests Drop In California

Some folks see the data I posted below and think it is false. They type angry replies and call me a liar. They say I'm just making it all up. They can't believe that if these numbers are correct, our government would still prohibit cannabis consumption. Yet my data is taken direct from the US Government's own Center for Disease Control website. I ask these angry folks to check my numbers for themselves and get back to me with any errors they find, then I never hear back. Franky I'm as shocked as those folks who get angry when they see the numbers.

Figures from the Center for Disease Control on numbers of deaths per year in the USA:

* Prescription Drugs: 237,485 + 5000 traffic fatalities
* Tobacco: 390,323
* Alcohol: 88,013 + 16,000 traffic fatalities
* Cocaine: 4,906
* Heroin: 7,200
* Aspirin: 466
* Acetaminophen (Tylenol): 179
* Marijuana: 0, none, not a single fatal overdose in all medical history and almost no traffic problems by comparison to prescription drugs and alcohol.

So, which is safer ???? Legalize, regulate and TAX!

Re: “The Richest One Percent Moves to Kill Medical Marijuana in Florida — Again

I asked Mel Sembler The night before last, why he thought an 85-year-old man should be shaping the future of the state of Florida?, And he replied smugly "because I can " he and his evil wife Betty must be stopped they must be put in their place we must not let 85-year-old oxygenarians shape the future of this great state! People rise up against these evil people.

"That’s not true."

Great to see a newspaper actively refereeing a debate and educating its readership instead of just transcribing quotes. I'm new to the area and extremely very by the EBE.

Where is the IPO? Scam. Pure and simple. Shame on you Steve. You did all of us a major disservice with this distraction. And now, we get AUMA...

Re: “Snoop Dogg, Too $hort Endorse California Marijuana Legalization in New Video

Patrick, CCHI is a fool's practice and will never happen. It was first introduced in 1990 and has failed to make the ballot in every election cycle since then, it's time to accept that it isn't gonna happen and move on. AUMA still allows you to grow your own while also allowing for unlimited possession limits at home and onsite consumption lounges, that is legal to me and everyone else I know. Prop 215 has done good things, but the unregulated status quo has caused problems and DEA raids, who said that they would return if a tightly regulated structure for cannabis isn't put into place in California. MMRSA and AUMA are the results of that, the nationwide movement towards ending prohibition cannot afford a loss in California this November, that is exactly what the prohibitionists want and all you're doing is siding with them and helping them get what they want.

Re: “California Set for Historic Vote on Cannabis Legalization

Will the the measure prohibit employers (public and private) from disqualifying prospective applicants from employment? And will it also prohibit employers (public and private) from testing for marijuana usage?

Re: “California Set for Historic Vote on Cannabis Legalization

Everyone country wide should chip in a few bucks to AUMA. I did. It's easy and quick. You don't even need to punch in a credit card number, just use PayPal. Visit their website. I'm not affiliated with the group and I don't even live in California.
