Although the poll is worrying, it could well be an outlier - the Probolsky poll this past February showed 60% overall support statewide, with the Bay at 69%, LA County at 65%, Central Valley 54%, Other Southern CA 53%, Other Northern CA 57%.
Michigan is trying to become the first state to totally abrogate (remove) marijuana prohibition from the Constitution. Michigan is feeling left out of the stories.
I think I may have been one of the first people busted in the Haight: February, 1965, when pot was still a felony for just one seed. Even then, people were saying, "Don't worry; it will be legal in 5 years!" But Big Money and Repressive Government have a way of putting logical solutions OFF, don't they! My felony "Possession" was reduced to a misdemeanor and dismissed in 1970 - or I wouldn't have been able to teach or get a real estate/insurance license in the state, so, I would say it is VITAL to get rid of long-term felony charges for any meaningful re-integration of ALL ex-offenders (with exception of Charlie Manson's "family" -- those sorts should be, instead, labeled "CRIMINALLY INSANE" because, having been self-consciously truly evil, they need to be ineligible for parole.)
I've never again been arrested & I haven't had lot of even traffic tickets. I wasn't a criminal; I was a poet and a seeker of my path. Why do I say Manson & the like can't be redeemed? Because they, like any of us, could relapse. But we could never be expected to really trust them, in amongst us. I don't wish them il or suffering, just isolation. Impulse-control is one thing; self-conscious evil is another!
Whether it’s from cigarettes or pot, smoke leaves a greasy residue on walls and the ceiling, as it floats through the air and settles on the first hard surface it comes in contact with. The majority of the residue attaches to high areas like the upper half of walls and the ceilings. Simple answer repaint walls and add the ionic paint additive to the paint.
The dealers that make wax in their basement and sell chemical ridden crap to people will do everything to make it remain illegal. selfish money hungry butt holes. as if someone who had the one MILLION + dollars it takes to open a legal dispensary in the USA ever needed more money. disgusting really. They will let people who are not criminals go to jail before they flog the crap out of these people for being selfish. Not to mention the random minorities that will continue to be thrown in jail (you're an idiot living in the suburbs if you think changing possession to a misdemeanor helped anybody). This is gross business owners and politicians selling out their community. Nothing new. :|
can we all just get along and pass the damn thing even if it isn't perfect? amend it later if it sucks, other states have shown you can pass a thing, then change the thing if it doesn't work perfectly. Playing "my way or no way" helps no one, and it certainly doesn't help put an end to the phony drug war that has made private prisons & allied interests a zillion dollars, and has not really helped anyone else...
Notice to dispensary owners selling weed supplied by the "Small Growers Association": Whichever way it goes, we will *never* patronize your businesses--or any others that side with prohibition and slavery--Ever. F***ing. Again.
The AUMA 60-page monstrosity is NOT legalization. It is a disaster for normal folks, and medical mj patients. Lots of negative consequences, and vague language that will be full employment for cops and lawyers:
But AUMA is still an abomination.
Way to go Steven, you've always been a winner in my book ! I feel bad for Melinda Haag though, first that house landed on her sister & now this !! LMFAO !!!

One word most adequately describes this man's influence: evil.
Yippiiii, congrats ya'll!!♡
Go ahead Mel Sembler, WASTE your filthy money AGAIN. We've got you BEAT this time around!! Prohibition is coming to an END... Florida is going to WIN this time. Marijuana IS MEDICINE. It's helping children and adults who have chronic illnesses and diseases. It's about COMPASSION and giving the PEOPLE what they want. We the People are overtaking our government, we've had ENOUGH. It's time our government listens to the MAJORITY of VOTERS. We WANT medical marijuana and we want this nightmare on CHRONIC PAIN PATIENTS over opiates to STOP NOW. We have the HUMAN RIGHT to USE what WORKS, what helps us to have a QUALITY OF LIFE. Medical marijuana will also help millions to get relief and allow them to LOWER their opiate use. Oh NO that means BIG PHARMA will be losing money... SO WHAT. It's TIME WE THE PEOPLE get WHAT WE WANT and NEED.
Congrats on the win Steve!!! So happy and I sure hope this is going to reflect on the END to prohibition very SOON. We are still waiting for legalization here in Florida for all of us patients. Kids, and adults who suffer with chronic pain and lifelong diseases and illnesses.
GREAT -- but to bad for the hundreds of small guys (dispensary owners) who were actually raided and had their property seized with little legal assistance. --- Hope you get to make the millions, and treat patients as the rest did. --- Im happy for you and admit I wish it was me. //// but yes maybe thats the end of the federal raids. --- http://www.laweekly.com/news/nj-weedmans-marijuana-dispensary-liberty-bell-temple-ii-raided-by-dea-he-says-2394433 -
