That course was offered in 2012. The American Cannabis Nurses Association has a 6 hour course that we just offered this past May in Florida as a pre-conference workshop prior to The Ninth National Clinical Conference on Cannabis Therapeutics. We will offer it again in the Spring of 2016. However, we hope to get it online through The Medical Cannabis Institute by this fall. It provides contact hours for nurses, but anyone can take it. If not a nurse you can take it and get a certificate of completion. Look for more information in the coming months on www.cannabisnurse.org or www.patientsoutoftime.org. Take care, ML Mathre
What kind of credentials are required to take this course? Is it only for nurses?
4 is enough. there is absolutely no practical need more than 4 dispensaries in our town. Currently, there are more MMD's in Vallejo than legitimate pharmacies. Restrictions and limitations add credibility to those 4 that will be authorized to operate, making consumers and/or patients more reassured that they are purchasing from qualified distributor. Again, 4 is enough!
Qaneh bosem was reed plant not cannabis. Read proves here http://www.kotipetripaavola.com/cannabisandbible.html
Jesus did not use cannabis!
To Mr. Andrews, I do believe you are correct that the majority of people being subjected to unnecessary testing are in fact the disabled subset, however that makes it no less ludicrous to threaten people in severe debilitating pain such as myself with being stripped of their much needed medications for simply smoking marijuana to aid in their pain relief and to better their virtually nonexistent quality of life. Especially when pill mills and real drug abusers have the system so perverted that even the most reputable pain management physicians are hesitant to prescribe the proper doses or medications that these people in pain need for fear of the DEA. Not just the prescribing physicians but the pharmacies who set up arbitrary "red flags" and company policies to make certain that it is as difficult as possible if not outright impossible for them to fill their legally prescribed meds. While the author of this particular article could have elaborated more on certain aspects and should have cited specific source references, the fact that you disagree with the article and/or the way in which it was written doesn't make the assertions made therein any less valid. And yes, it is in fact fraud and malpractice when performing a test to make sure that your patient is simply taking their meds as opposed to selling them, and not taking other Rx meds for which their Dr has not prescribed, then also tacking on in some cases hundreds of dolthes I'm unwarranted testing.(my source you ask? My bank account as I do not recieve any government aid. I can attest that the lab that tests for my pain management does a full opioid/benzo gas chromatogrph/mass spectrometry for a total of $186, yet on various occasions I was billed for several times this amount, when I looked into the matter I found they had tested for every illicit drug they could test for, including simple Cannabis, which my Dr did not in fact order.) So before you tear someone a new asshole simply because they could have written their article better, (which BTW I think it was very well written despite not having cited references) how about you actually do five minutes worth of research on the matter yourself, it won't take you very long at all to find all the references you could ever dream of to support the claims made in this article. Pain patients in this country are rapidly becoming the biggest victims in the failing "war on drugs". Anyone who doesn't realize it has obviously never seen a 70 year old w cancer on his death bed basically end up having to turn to Heroin from the streets because its cheaper and easier to obtain than proper pain medications from a Dr. I've seen many people in pain forced to find their relief on the streets because they did not have insurance nor medicaid/care, the un/underinsured are the true victims in all this, I speak from experience. We are the ones who truly cannot afford the " war on drugs" which is hilarious as it isn't effecting the addicts one bit, they dont have to suffer without needed medications, they will still be able to get their fix, its people in true pain who are being fucked at every turn, pardon my language but its the only word fitting for the state of pain management in the country, fucked...
While there are many companies I have found that are not legit in the CBD industry I have used a couple that have helped me a lot. http://Discovercbd.com is one company that has always been super help full and all their products have really helped me with my anxiety.. I prefer the cbd oil and the cbd e juice for my vape pen. Nice to not see any of their brands on this list:)
if you tell me that the real estate under my feet is 'public' when Im smoking a joint>its confiscation.
no driving high' is vague and any judge would say so
Legalize it on federal level.
Before you get yr underpants twisted about whether your strain is better than your neighbors, take a toke. All that anxiety just disappears.

anytime the gov't gets involved with anything we all lose
This author should really check their facts. It is "rags" like this that make finding real news reporting nearly impossible now a days.
Do you understand the difference between a drug screen (qualitative test) and a quantitative drug test?
Do you understand the clinical application of each?
As it relates to the lab in question, where did you get the $1,000 and $175 numbers and why do you think $175 is what is supposed to be charged? Please site the source.
Do you understand that most medicare beneficiaries being tested by reference laboratories are likely NOT seniors but rather the disabled subset within the Medicare program?
Do you know that most of the fraud in this industry actually comes from doctors opening up their own laboratories and testing EVERY patient vs clinical labs that are doing the testing on behalf of physicians and institutions?
Sorry... lots of questions on just the first three paragraphs of your poorly written, 8 paragraph rag. Shocking you do not write for the NY Times.
