Re: “Pal's Take Away Isn't Your Typical Delicatessen

Hi Steve, you can always find the address and other basic info (hours, etc.) in the sidebar located at the top of the review. Pal's/Firebrand is at 2343 Broadway.

Re: “Borinquen Soul Dishes Out Puerto Rican Grandma Food Inside an Oakland Convenience Store

"Two Star Market is your run-of-the-mill convenience store..."

Not really. It's more like a liquor store with, for us locals, a goodly selection of microbrews.

Re: “Best Bites of 2015

Chris Kronner's Biggest mistake was painting over the Piedmont Ave Mural on the side of the building. That mural was there for years and was part of the Piedmont Ave culture. Locals avoid eating there.

Re: “Borinquen Soul Dishes Out Puerto Rican Grandma Food Inside an Oakland Convenience Store

Doesn't look like you need my positive review but we stopped here tonight for the first time and had great PR takeout - richly flavored chicken, rice and plantains (verde style) with a side order of additional plantains and rice for the vegetarian among us! Delicious - well worth a side trip not to mention the WALL long frig. full of local craft beers if you are so inclined for a six pack - or more. Definitely food unique in Cali.
