FREE PARKING AVAILABLE FOR ALL MAY 18 & MAY 31 PERFORMANCES IN THE KAISER BLDG PARKING GARAGE!
The matinee performances will be followed by an audience discussion with Piper and representatives from local violence prevention programs. These may be some of the most vital conversations the Oakland community will have about violence in our city, precisely because of the presence and voices of elders and young adults in the house.
For mature audiences only! Minimum recommended age 14 due to strong language and honest content.

Preparing for Liftoff!
This show is a pick in this weeks Local Licks section. See http://www.eastbayexpress.com/oakland/loca…
It is actually March 6th. Not February.
The show was good but Bisi & the Moonwalker was not harmonious enough something was definitely lacking from that duo.
Lots of talent, money, time, energy expended on this musical - exciting sets, lyrics, acting, singing.....the first act works SO well. But the writing fails in the second act, when we (and the main character?) discover SUDDENLY that Mama Sid is Raina's real mother. The play then devolves into a confusing mother/daughter story, resolved, alas, in Raina's (the skeptical daughter's) absolute and absolutely unconvincing conversion into her mother's brand of "enlightenment. " How much more interestiing the play would have been if Sid and Raina had not been awkwardly catapulted into mother/daughter roles
San Francisco Bach Choir’s Artistic Director and harpsichordist Corey Jamason and mezzo-soprano Danielle Reutter-Harrah present an intimate recital of music by Henry Purcell, Domenico Scarlatti, and François Couperin, set against gorgeous views of the Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. The performance will be followed by a wine and cheese reception. There’s no better way to warm up on a wintry Sunday afternoon!
This Recital and Wine Reception will help to support the Choir’s ambitious programming and outreach efforts for this and future seasons.
Please note this event has been incorrectly listed. It will be at the Conference Center at Fort Mason Center. For further information and tickets, please visit www.sfbach.org

Delicious with great presentation. Really lived up to traditional Japanese Ramen. The marriage of the soup and noodle was spot on! Glad to see that Oakland has another fantastic POPUP catering to traditional Asian food cuisine. Keep up it up Ramen Man!
Great Story ... wish I could attend, but I'm in Nashville/Lebanon, TN. K
Great group! $40 a month membership goes toward other arts programs within the Art Beat Foundation.
