Let's get one thing absolutely clear: No one is encouraging you to imbibe psychoactive or intoxicating substances. As far as that goes, Codornices Park is officially off limits after dark, so we're definitely not encouraging you to go there around midnight. Nor is anyone telling you to slide down the fantastic concrete slide on the east side of the park, you know, that wonderful one you probably slid on, laughing hysterically, when you were a kid. The one that has existed in the park since the WPA was a new deal. Furthermore, don't plan ahead and bring wax paper and cardboard so that you fly really, really fast. And if the cops come by, definitely don't run into the very large, long, dark, and scary tunnel on the west side of the park that goes underneath Euclid Avenue and into the Berkeley Rose Garden. While you're at it, don't wander in the moonlight through the unlocked gate surrounding the garden, stopping to smell the flowers, because we don't want you to be amazed at what a wonderful, beautiful place it is in the dark. Finally, if you do choose to ignore our admonitions, mind that you don't bump into any of the amorous couples doing the wild thing out there in the moonlight.
