Kelly Vance, who reviewed Titanic but would rather spend his afternoons looking at films by Kiyoshi Kurosawa or Jean-Pierre Melville, never got over the closing of the UC Theatre in Berkeley. His biggest movie-world thrill was meeting Pam Grier at the Pacific Film Archive. He looks forward to the day when movies will be automatically streamed into the brains of audiences, against their will, at any time of the day or night, in a completely random manner. It is by this method that he will be forced to finish watching the Focker series.
