3 Michaels: Chabon, Pollan, Lewis

When: Mon., Dec. 10, 7:30 p.m. 2012
Price: $100

Meet three amazing Berkeley authors in one event: Michael Chabon, author of this year's celebrated Brokeland; Michael Pollan, whose most recent book is Food Rules: An Eater's Manual; and Vanity Fair contributing editor Michael Lewis, whose latest book is Boomerang: Travels in the New Third World. In what is being touted as a uniquely Berkeley conversation among three of the country's best-known writers, the three Michaels will converge at Berkeley Rep (2025 Addison St., Berkeley) on Monday, Dec. 10, to benefit the East Bay's own version of Dave Eggers' 826 Valencia, 826 Oakland, a spot to mentor and engage upcoming young writers. $100 gets you in to hear the 7:30 p.m. talk; $175 assures you'll meet the authors at the subsequent champagne reception.
