Hidden in a downtown Richmond strip mall near a grocery store, the truant officer will never find class-cutters here. But there are always mad bargains to be found at the Players Outlet, which specializes in selling puffy down jackets, Fubu-wear, Platinum shirts, sports jerseys, Raiders stuff, baggy pants, hoodies, jogging outfits and caps with pot-leaf logos (from $3 up for the hats). Recently, a North Face Outlet winter jacket with fur around the neck was going for a mere $49.95. Then there's the table that sells three perfectly good color-cotton Ts for $10. It's also conveniently located a couple of blocks from the Richmond BART station, so truants from other parts of the bay can use public transit to pay a visit.
