Whichever side of the waterfowl debate you're on, the College of Alameda's lawn is the perfect place to feel like America's favorite fictional Mafioso. Both ducks and geese flock to this spacious field off Atlantic Avenue, just down the road from the USS Hornet Museum. After an apparently busy mating season, this spring is the ideal time for spotting waterfowl couples with their goslings and ducklings waddling along behind them. Just a warning to those thinking of getting up close and personal with the geese -- fuggedaboudit! These proud parents are very protective and quickly get aggressive with overly curious humans.
