Oakland, Berkeley, And East Bay News, Events, Restaurants, Music, & Arts
Isn't next year the 20-year anniversary of John Law re-living events from the past? 1996 was the last year he was actively involved in something new (HellCo at Burning Man). Since then he has been about re-archiving (Suicide Club, Cacophony Society, BM), re-telling (book, bus trip). and re-painting (Doggies Diner heads). He's been good at appearing at events where the next generation of artists and pranksters make their mark. Nothing wrong with getting another 20 years out of the past, -and getting laid.
Cool. Glad to know that he doesn't urinate where he eats, he just prefers to urinate where *other people* eat.
Cool. I wondered about the neon on the Tribune bld. Keep up the good and anon. work:) Cheers
Wait a minute! I thought "Queer" was an insult!!! Make up my minds, People!
Come on! You couldn't find an Oakland picture for a story about an Oakland-based event?
I have a problem with how the article was written. I will never regard any LGBT person as queer -not myself, not anyone else. That's what I was bullied with growing up and I will never use the term, ever. I don't care what three individuals choose to call themselves or others. Can anyone imagine any other epithet being used in an EBX piece like this? Also, the amount of coded language in this article is disheartening. If a subject is using coded language to declare an unjust preference for a group of people then the journalist needs to call them out. I'd be more specific, but I'm taking a cue from the author.

Thanks for the awesome article Sarah!
"Vision of Liberty"? How about an honest caption "Vision of Importing More Poverty". And if this blueprint in the Eastbay Express for killing the middle class by mass immigration doesn't fill your weekly quota for open borders propaganda then head on over to the tear jerker on page 8 - the story of Cambodian Chea Bou where you can cry crocodile tears for another 'victim' of our 'broken immigration system' and another noble immigrant sob story.
Me? I'll take my cue from Bernie Sanders on the open borders champions: "It would make everyone in America poorer."
It was in Austin 2006 and 2007, not the first time it has been in the same city 2 years in a row.
Well, it's great to nurture in students love for writing. Once I was like they are at similar writing workshop which have determined my path. Now I'm a writer, I provide dissertation writing service and extremely thankful for that workshop.
