The Shattuck Down Low in downtown Berkeley is definitely the most happening nightclub in the university town. From karaoke to reggae dancehall to hip-hop and live acts, the Down Low (it’s located underground) is a reliable, safe, and clean venue for dancing every night except Mondays. “Angel Magik” is one of the club’s most popular nights – a monthly hip-hop and reggae DJ party that packs the dancefloor with hot-to-trot college girls and sweaty older men. Admission is usually $5. 21 & over, bring ID.

Hours: Tuesday-Sunday 8 p.m.-2 a.m. Closed Monday.
