Foxes is still deciding what kind of club it wants to be when it grows up (pool hall? Gussied-up arcade? Soca and reggae dance joint?), but many patrons contend it’s Hayward’s premier party joint for college kids and twentysomethings who just want to shake their booties. A fifteen-minute walk from South Hayward BART, this club is equipped with pinball, pool, dartboards, video games, and ample parking. Fridays and Saturdays are the best nights to come, as rotating DJs spin hip-hop, R&B, reggae, old school, African club hits, and the occasional salsa number. Live bands (predominantly reggae and world) show up on weekends, too. Covers range from free to $8; every Thursday night is Ladies Night, featuring free pool and drink discounts.
