It’s 2 a.m. and you can feel the buzz slowly melting (or, hell, the Carlo Rossi or thizzle pill, this being the East Bay), but really, the party’s just getting started. You’re looking for a place to get your groove on and maybe snag a bang-up brunch, without making a cameo in the next sideshow documentary. Enter Club Nocturnal, a slamming after-hours dance party which, despite its scattershot history of lapses and migrations (last year’s events took place at an Emeryville warehouse, though Nocturnal recently relocated to West Oakland’s Noodle Factory, which may prove a more permanent home), gained renown by featuring such popular club DJs as Shania D, Tim Diesel (you know this guy — think “Life should taste as good as diesel”), and True Justice (you know this guy, too — think “On point with his jigga jiggas”). Hosted by local percussionist, producer, mogul, and man-about-town Mosheh Milon (think sports jersey, B-boy hat, gold watch chain), Nocturnal promises to bring a hot summer lineup with lots of surprise guests.
