Chabot Space & Science Center’s Kids’ Party Zone!

This all ages event is notably cool for the kids. With rock bands, science projects, art, animals and fun!

Water Rockets
Create your own rocket from recycled soda bottles and paper, and then launch it from our custom launch pad. The fuel: pressurized water.

Recycle-a-Kite
Build a small kite from reclaimed materials. Fly it in the stiff breeze coming off the bay.

Seed Bombs

Construct a small packet of power to help California reclaim its soil from alien species!
Take some native seeds, compost, soil, and a biodegradable package and toss it into an empty public dirt lot. Come back a few months later to see the “damage”.

California Bay Leaf Punch
Learn about one of California’s native species and sample some delicious spiced punch.

UV Beads
Create a Ultraviolet light detecting bracelet to tell you when it’s time to put on some sunblock. Learn about the science of UV light.

MOCHA (Museum of Children's Art) hands-on art projects with products donated from the East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse.

East Bay SPCA pet adoptions and evaluations.

Kinetic Arts Center performances.

Kid's Party Zone Jumpy Bounce House, drink and snack vending.


The Kids' Party Zone is located along the waterfront between Webster St. and Harrison St.
