And that might bode well for Oakland, where protesters just launched their second week “occupying” a tent-city in Frank Ogawa Plaza, which rivals Burning Man in its level of organization. After a pretty heavy clash that resulted in five arrests last night (including one for assaulting an officer) police commanders had a relatively peaceful meeting with demonstration leaders this morning. The police ssentially promised that the Occupy San Francisco encampment could stay, so long as the demonstrators allow city workers to come in and clean the streets outside Justin Herman Plaza.
