Newballpark.org is doing some great analysis of the new ballpark sites proposed by the City of Oakland. First, newballpark.org analyzed the west of Broadway site (calling it “Jack London West,” a much better moniker than the city’s inaccurate “Jack London North”). And then the website analyzes the Third and Oak Street location, also known as Victory Court, and compares it to Jack London West. The upshot? Using the same scoring template employed by HOK when it studied several East Bay sites earlier this decade, both of the new sites fared well — although not as well as the Uptown site.
