Reuters reports that the feds may be getting ready to target Pixar for secretly backdating stock options. According to the report, former chief financial officer Ann Mather declared that the Securities and Exchange Commission is planning to sue her for backdating, but she is expected to claim that the practice started long before she joined the Emeryville animation company. If Mather goes with this defense, Pixar executives could find themselves struggling to explain to investors how they failed to disclose the practice.
