1) The IRS' new strategy of auditing medical marijuana dispensaries for taking business deductions comes to Colorado, the Denver Post's John Ingold reports.

2) The Beastie Boys' Hot Sauce Committee Part Two leaks and gets a full stream.

3) Medical marijuana patients fight for their right to own guns in Oregon.

4) Wu Tang Clan architect RZA joins the cast of Californication, starring David Duchovny.

5) The Women's Marijuana Movement — some of whom are date rape survivors — says weed is safer for women than booze.

6) Internet celebrity Antoine Dodson's been busted for holding.

7) Philadelphia Weekly thinks "Nation's Leading Pro-Marijuana Group Is Too White to Succeed":

PhillyNORML is too white. There are hardly any minority voices within the organization that can help make such a case. All of its leaders are white. Most of its members and regular volunteers are white. At tonight’s A-Space meeting, only two black people dropped by; for one, it was her first NORML meeting. Unfortunately, that’s the norm for NORML. “We’ll have a few African-Americans come to our meetings and events from time to time, but then we never hear from them again,” says PhillyNORML secretary Derek Rosenzweig. And it’s not just the Philadelphia chapter.

8) A cost-benefit analysis of legalization from the Council on Hemispheric Affairs says U.S. drug policy needs to be altered; legalization must be subject to serious debate.

“Legalization could eliminate illegal demand for Mexican marijuana and curb drug-related violence. Medical dangers of marijuana may be largely exaggerated. Economic costs and benefits should be balanced; legalization could reduce financial burden on the U.S."
