1) MEETING FOR THE DOGS
By now, you’re probably aware of how contentious the issue of a dog park at Lake Merritt has become. Voice your opinions of the new proposed location at a meeting today at Lakeside Park Garden Center. 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m., free.

2) EPIC LIGHT SHOW
Regardless of how you feel about its music, Muse apparently puts on an epic live show that shames all other live shows. Judge for yourself when the British trio stops by the Oracle Arena tonight. 7 p.m., $35-$69.50

3) NERDS UNITE
How better to hear nerds nerd-out than with a beer in hand? Join the fourth installment of Nerd Nite, which will include “a talk on collective behavior from Daniel Cohen of UC Berkeley, a geology talk by Andrew Pike, and a short piece on science and tech for the global good.” At the New Parkway Theater; 7 p.m., $8.

4) HEAR THIS @#^&*$ AUTHOR
Berkeley's Adam Mansbach, author of the New York Times bestseller Go the F** to Sleep, discusses his new “Great American graffiti novelRage Is Back, tonight at the Marsh Berkeley. 7:30 p.m., $5-$12.
