Berkeley singer-songwriter Tamra Engle announced she’s started a program to help school kids in San Francisco, Alameda, and Contra Costa counties get access to music education. Formed as a result of public schools slashing their arts and music budgets, Engle’s privately funded I’m With the Band will teach kids how to “play and record their own music in a band environment.” For more information, click here .
