Mehserle Could Face Federal Criminal Charges

The Obama Justice Department is considering whether to file federal criminal charges against ex-BART cop Johannes Mehserle now that his state court trial is over, the Chron and Trib report. Mehserle could be charged with violating the civil rights of Oscar Grant — much like the Los Angeles cops in the Rodney King case.
In that case, two of the four LA police officers involved in the brutal beating of King were convicted in federal court on civil rights charges after they were acquitted in state court. Those two cops were then sentenced to thirty months in federal prison. However, the other two police officers involved in the beating were acquitted in federal court — just as they were in state court.
In a statement yesterday after jurors found Mehserle guilty of involuntary manslaughter, the US Justice Department said that it “will conduct and independent review of the facts and circumstances to determine whether the evidence warrants federal prosecution.”
Mehserle faces a sentence of five to fourteen years in prison for the involuntary manslaughter conviction in addition to being found guilty of using a gun in the commission of a homicide. TV news reports that the ex-BART cop could receive probation when he's sentenced on August 6 were erroneous.

The above individual is an uneducated fool. Mehserle is not a racist. Oscar Grant would be alive today if he had followed the instructions he was given. Period. Your problem is a Black person can never be wrong. It’s always somebody else’s fault. The Blacks who think like this are pathetic losers. Quit going out of your way to prove how different you are and start acting like you belong here instead of Africa.
As long as Black people live with a 200 year old chip on their shoulders they will be treated like second class citizens because that’s how most of them want to be treated.

officer mehserle is a racist, who was so overcome with hatred for all black people that he willed himself to murder oscar grant in front of innumerable witnesses in order to satisfy his bloodlust. of course, no white or asian would ever have sufferred the same fate, at the hands of any police officer. in this racist world, only blacks are singled out for injustice of this magnitude. what?? in the united states, 100 white women are raped by black men every day, and zero black women are raped by white men? that is an obviously skewed statistic. i don't care if the department of justice posts it on their website compilation of crime statistics harvested from law enforcement agencies all over the country. blacks are the victim. BLACKS ARE THE ONLY VICTIM!!!
